Augustine Ramphele

Augustine Ramphele: The former Baroka FC and Moroka Swallows speedster joined AmaZulu in August 2016 with the winger a regular under the watchful eye of Joey Antipas. Will be hoping for more game time in Usuthu’s first season back in the Absa Premiership.

Samuel Darpoh

Samuel Darpoh: The Ghana national, rose through the ranks at AmaZulu, making his first team debut in the 2016-17 National First Division (NFD) season. The defensive midfielder will be hoping for regular game time in what is his maiden campaign in South Africa’s top-flight.

Butholezwe Ncube

Arrived in South Africa from Tsholotsho FC in his homeland Zimbabwe in July 2016 with the defensive midfielder a regular under Joey Antipas. Will be hoping for more game time now that Cavin Johnson has taken over the reigns, with Usuthu back playing Absa Premiership football.

Marc Van Heerden

The experienced full-back is rejoined AmaZulu FC from Orlando Pirates prior to start of the 2018/19 campaign. Van Heerden left Usuthu for Chippa United July, 2016, before securing a move to Pirates in January 2017. The Johannesburg-born player is providing competition to South Africa youth international Sibusiso Mabiliso in the left-back position.

Xolani Slawula

The defender joined AmaZulu FC from National First Division (NFD) outfit Uthongathi FC ahead of the 2018-19 season. Slawula will be hoping to make his mark in the Premier Soccer League (PSL). The centre back will be providing competition for Sadate Ouro-Akoriko, Tapelo Nyongo and Phumlani Gumede in central defence.

Boiki Modisakeng

The full-back joined AmaZulu FC from Platinum Stars ahead of the 2018-19 campaign. Modisakeng is looking to impress in his debut season with Usuthu. The right-back will be competing with Thembela Sikhakhane and Mbongeni Gumede in the right-back position.

Sbusiso Mabiliso

Sbusiso Mabiliso: The South Africa youth international officially joined AmaZulu FC midway through the 2017/18 campaign after helping his country win the 2017 COSAFA Under-20 Championship title in Zambia. Sbusiso Mabiliso, who is a very promising left-back, was nurtured in the Platinum Stars development academy and he is looking to make his mark in the… read more »

Thembela Sikhakhane

The versatile defender first made a name for himself at Golden Arrows before joining Orlando Pirates ahead of the 2016-17 season. Sedat Ouro-Akoriko

The Togo international joins AmaZulu following a short spell in Saudi Arabia. Having first arrived in South Africa with Free State Stars in 2011, the hard-tackling defender joined Usuthu before penning a deal with Al-Faisaly. Phumlani Gumede

Phumlani Gumede: The centre back will be eyeing regular game time in the Absa Premeirship in the 2017-18 season. Having joined the club from fellow KZN outfit Kings United in January 2017, Phumlani Gumede is set to embark on his first seaosn in South Africa’s top-flight.

Jonathan Andrew Kirby

Bachelor of Accounting (University of the Witwatersrand, RSA) Higher Diploma in Tax Law (Rand Afrikaans University, RSA). Experience: 25 years’ experience with SABMiller. Previously SABMiller Finance Director: Africa. Appointed VP Finance for AB InBev Africa before retirement.

Mbongeni Gumede

Mbongeni Gumede: The former Sivutsa Stars, Jomo Cosmos and Orlando Pirates defender, who rose through the ranks at the Buccaneers, joined AmaZulu on a permanent move in July 2016. A Bafana Bafana international, Mbongeni Gumede adds valuable stability at right-back and will be hoping that the 2017-18 season is one to remember.

Tapelo Nyongo

The Khayelitsha-born defender, who can occupy both the centre and right-back positions, joined Usuthu from the Old Mutual Academy in July 2014. The club captain, Nyongo is quickly building a reputation for himself in football circles and will be vital to AmaZulu’s progress as they make a return to the Absa Premiership.

Neil Boshoff

Neil Boshoff: The promising goalkeeper was nurtured in the AmaZulu FC academy and he is now part of the the club’s first team. Neil Boshoff provides competition to fellow shot-stoppers Siyabonga Mbatha, Moeneeb Josephs and Energy Murambadoro.
