Gloire Onya Mbaka

Gloire Mbaka Onya has over five years of experience in laboratory settings. The first two years of work experience were in a pharmaceutical laboratory, and he has spent the last two years working in a cement plant. In addition, he has had various internships and educational experiences. Currently, Gloire is a vice president for A.S. Nouvelle Vision, a youth soccer team catering to 58 boys in his area. Gloire holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedicine from the Midrand Graduate Institute in South Africa, where he majored in Analytical and Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology, and other advanced medical subjects. In addition, Gloire Onya Mbaka holds a professional certificate of competence in Project Management and MS projects from the Institut National de Préparation Professionnelle in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Gloire is driven by his commitment to fighting juvenile delinquency by focusing on youth mentorship. One day, he hopes to witness development and transformation in his nation led by youth. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Gloire plans to continue curbing juvenile delinquency and preventing HIV/AIDS by working on youth development activities and mentorship with his youth soccer team.
