Jean-Marc Mercy

Jean-Marc Mercy is the executive director and co-founder of the Bridge Initiative, a nonprofit that links youth to employment and business opportunities. It promotes civic engagement, youth participation and social and economic development through volunteerism and social entrepreneurship. Jean-Marc Mercy is passionate about bridging the skills and education gaps. Prior to starting this venture, he worked as human resources manager with IMA World Health in Kinshasa, and served as a civil servant with the UN for eight years in the DRC and Chad. He has completed a leadership development program at the regional leadership center of YALI in Kenya. Jean-Marc obtained university qualifications in Human Resources and Project management from University of South Africa and Ashworth College, Georgia. He also received a master’s degree in Human Resource Management and Training from University of Leicester. Jean-Marc is currently volunteering as human resources specialist with the United Nations operation in Côte d’Ivoire.
