Advocate Brent Gerbe

Adv. Gerber was appointed to his current position in June 2010. He holds a LLB degree from the University of the Western Cape and was admitted as an advocate to the High Court of South Africa.

He has a certificate in legal education and development from the University of Cape Town, a national diploma in municipal administration from Port Elizabeth Technikon, and a certificate in project management from the University of Stellenbosch.Adv. Gerber is the driver of the Western Cape’s Cabinet-approved modernisation programme and serves as a member of the City of Cape Town’s executive management. As head of department of the Premier, Adv. Gerber is responsible for the provision of support to the provincial executive and strategic management.

He is also responsible for the Corporate Service Centre, which provides human capital, information and communication technology, and corporate assurance services on a transversal basis to all provincial government departments.
