Advocate Sandile Nogxina

Advocate Sandile Nogxina

Advocate Sandile Nogxina is non-executive director and Chairman of the Board of Airports Company South Africa since November 9, 2018.  

He is also the Chairman of the Board Economic Regulator Committee. Advocate Sandile Nogxina has dedicated a large part of his career to the public sector, having worked in various capacities as a researcher, legal advisor and special advisor. 

Between 1998 and 2011, he served as Director-General in the Department of Minerals and Energy following which he became advisor to the Minister of Minerals Resources.  

He was appointed as the Ambassador to Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama (concurrently) in 2012.  He remains special advisor to the Minister of Mineral Resources. 

He has made formidable contributions to the world-class legal framework South Africa holds within the minerals, mining and energy sectors. 

Advocate Nogxina holds a Master of Law degree in Law Development and Bachelor of Law degree. He is also a Chairperson of the Board of Avedia Energy.
