Dalene Sechele-Manana

Dalene Sechele-Manana has been in the Financial Services sector for over 18 years and has held management positions in various SA-based banks. In her current role, she heads up Private Banking at Mercantile Bank. She is responsible for growing the Private Bank portfolio with the entrepreneur in mind. Mercantile Bank Private Bank is the first bank in South Africa that caters exclusively for entrepreneurs and has custom-built products for an entrepreneur’s personal banking needs. Whether it be borrowing, transacting or investing.

Dalene Sechele-Manana role is multifaceted and involves a number of different areas of work including strategy development and execution, product development, process design, value proposition development, pricing, competitor analysis amongst others.

In her previous role, Dalene headed up HR for Mercantile Bank, where she was responsible for setting the Bank’s HR strategy and ensuring the effective management of the HR value-chain throughout the bank.

She completed an International Executive Development programme in Investment Banking through the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS).

She holds an Executive Development Programme for HR Leaders through the University of Stellenbosch and completed an Honours degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Johannesburg. She completed a prestigious leadership programme for high-potential senior female leaders through GIBS (Gordon Institute of Business Science) and has completed and is an accredited Change Management facilitator.
