The majority of Shaun’s schooling was undertaken in the USA, but Shaun studied marketing at the AAA School of Advertising here in Johannesburg prior to being awarded a scholarship to do a post-grad marketing degree in NY (USA) where he graduated with honours. A few years later Shaun then returned to the US to complete an MBA in Strategic Marketing at Boston University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Returning to South Africa after completing his MBA, Shaun took up the position of International Marketing Manager for Pastel Software, was promoted 5 months later to International General Manager and assisted international expansion into 14 countries.

Shaun later went on to head the e-Business Division of Tiscali World Online, an international Internet Service Provider where he was key to the profitable turnaround of the company. Shaun then joined the 8 Seconds Branding and Design Group as Managing Director and later Deputy CEO for the International 8 Seconds Group. Here he was responsible for group profitability, operational efficiency and the full strategic management. Under his leadership the group posted record sales and profit figures enabling further international expansion.

Shaun then started his own company – Pulse8, in 2002, providing brand, marketing and sales strategy insight to major national and international companies and brands including, Coca-Cola, Sun Microsystems, Cell-C, Nampak, SA Reserve Bank, LG Electronics, UCS Solutions, Bavaria, and Government departments including Public Works, Provincial and Local Government, Parliament and the NHBRC.

Pulse8 was incorporated into the Wisdom Keys Group in 2006, freeing up Shaun to take over as COO of the Wisdom Keys Group later that year. Shaun was appointed CEO early in 2007 and is responsible for the overall strategic, financial and operational management of the organisation.
