Tshepy Matloga is a journalist turned entrepreneur with 10 years writing professional writing experience, Born in a village of Botlokwa just outside Polokwane in South Africa, Tshepy studied journalism at the Tshwane University of Technology majoring in politics and broadcast production.

Tshepy Matloga started her professional career as Public Relations intern at HelloWorld PR and Advertising agency and later moved to TCB publishing group as a features writer for both 1time airline magazine and the Bluetrain magazine and occasionally freelancing for Caxton’s Soul magazine.

In 2011 she was appointed the junior editor for Youth Village magazine whilst at the same time being the South African correspondent for a UK based fashion and textile blog called Africa Fashion Guide. In 2015 she founded Unlocking Africa, formerly known as Chronicles Media Group.

The company has two divisions which are, a website which serves as an African business directory, a one stop information centre advocating the development of Africa, that’s profiling young entrepreneurs from all over the continent, encourage intra-Africa trade and share positive stories about Africa in a bid to restore the image of Africa to the global community. The other division is a full service Public Relations firm which offers services in brand management, social media management, events planning and corporate communications for Small and medium enterprise across the African continent. 

Besides running Unlocking Africa, Tshepy is also the co-founder of Malawian based Encore Creatives Events and PR.

Some of the accolades Tshepy Matloga has  received include being chosen as the Top 100 brightest young minds in SA 2014, nominated for the DHL tomorrow’s leaders, Old Mutual young leaders, Youth Village 20 Inspirational Young South Africans 2016, Positively Youth 100 most positively inspiring African youth 2017 . Tshepy also travels the African continent in search of positive human interest stories
