Veronica Nyhan Jones

Global Manager, Sustainable Infrastructure Advisory IFC

Veronica Nyhan Jones is Global Manager of Sustainable Infrastructure Advisory (SIA) at the International Finance Corporation (IFC). IFC—a member of the World Bank Group—is the largest global development institution focused on the private sector in emerging markets. SIA supports energy, mining, transport, cities, and water and waste clients to manage social and climate-related risks. Veronica’s team designs strategies to deliver shared value with host communities, especially for women and youth.  Services include climate resilience, smart cities, gender empowerment, local economic development, data utilization for transparency. Veronica spearheads IFC’s flagship Sustainability Exchange, an innovative learning event featuring cutting-edge industry practices from around the globe. 

Before joining IFC, Veronica held positions at the World Bank, the International Youth Foundation, the White House, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Veronica was listed among 2015’s Global Inspirational Women in Mining. She has co-authored articles on quantitatively and qualitatively measuring social capital.  She holds a master’s degree from Harvard Kennedy School.
