Diana Wiah Dwanah
Diana Wiah Dwanah is an African fashion designer who has over three years of experience designing and making beautiful African accessories. Diana is currently the CEO of Dia-Afrik Designs, a company that focuses on innovatively designing and handcrafting accessories that elevate the African culture. Dia-Afrik Designs also provides young ladies with major skills training in design and handicrafts; although most of these women start out with no initial design knowledge, they are freely trained, and many are hired to work with Diana’s company. Dia-Afrik Designs has also sponsored a program hosted by a local NGO to help get unprivileged children in school. Diana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management and is committed to linking innovation with informal education while helping train other young women to become self-reliant and independent. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Diana plans on growing her company and incorporating more potential young women. She also wants to partner with other organizations in her country which are concerned with empowering talented young women to become productive.
