Makentse Mampeule

Makentse Mampeule holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Human Resources Diploma. She obtained a certificate in Early Childhood Development with Harvard University.

Makentse Mampeule’s entrepreneurial spirit is pushing her to not just ideate, but take action and tackle long time socio-economic issues. She is the co-founder of Mampeule Foundation.

The Foundation is a leading non-profit organisation in South Africa, that provides support to initiatives that provide bursaries to undergraduate students and post graduate students in the field of innovative building technologies, through the collaboration with the University of Johannesburg.

Her foundation partake in global health – through Global Surgery Foundation which is the founding donor.GSF seeks to address unmet needs of surgical care globally especially to developing countries and third world countries.

The foundation provides property education through the Property Mentorship Program and masterclasses and local community development such as building homes to underprivileged families and funding organisations that are women led and benefit woman and children.

To date, The Mampeule Foundation has funded approximately 90 students to the value of over five million rands and have impacted over 500 individuals.

She joined the property industry working for an Investment Holding Company as an Administration Manager and managed the group’s real estate learnership program.

She later worked for an insurance regulatory body, SASRIA as an executive assistant to the group CEO, then later moved to what was close to her heart, which was human resources at Werkmans Attorneys.

When she became a mom to her two boys, she decided to leave the corporate world and be a stay-at-home mom. This job title is what later led her to registering and obtaining a certificate in Early Childhood Development with Harvard University. She is currently a mompreneur with a home fragrance business – LAMBENT by Makentse. She is a philanthropy as the co-founder of the the Mampeule Foundation.

Her work in the community tackles long time socio-economic issues. Her Foundation is a leading non-profit organisation in South Africa, that provides support to initiatives that provide bursaries to undergraduate students and post graduate students in the field of innovative building technologies, through the collaboration with the University of Johannesburg.

The Global Surgery Foundation helps poor people to get free surgery on their critical conditions that may need surgery that they can’t afford and it supports hospitals with surgical equipments and training in under developed countries.

The foundation provides property education through the Property Mentorship Program. Her foundation has build more than 72 housing units during Covid to assist families that needed emergency shelter using an alternative building technologies (ABT and funds organizations that are women led and benefit woman and children.

The Mampeule Foundation has made many positive changes to the South African community which to date has impacted more than 500 people and many more lives across the globe through the Global Surgery Foundation (GSF) in the past 5 years.

She is a Philanthropist and mompreneur, her youthful spirit is pushing her to not just ideate, but take action and tackle long time socio-economic issues. She gives hope to many young woman around the globe even the ones that are staying home moms raising their kids by showing how much more they can impact the world while raising their children at home. The Foundation is a leading non-profit.
