Uchenna Uwechia

Uchenna Uwechia joined GSK as Legal Manager, GSK Nigeria, in 2006 and was later appointed Company Secretary & Legal Director for GSK Entities in Nigeria and other Anglophone West Africa Region in 2010.

As part of his role at GSK, Uche is responsible for all Legal Operations including litigation management, general legal advisory, contract administration, company secretarial and compliance services.

Prior to GSK, Uche worked as the General Counsel & Company Secretary of the defunct Gulf Bank of Nigeria PLC and had engaged extensively in legal private practice with George Etomi & Partners, a Leading Commercial Law Firm.

Uchenna Uwechia holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt and a Masters Degree in Law from the University of Lagos and was called to the Nigeria Bar in 1991.

Uche is a solicitor and an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and a Member of the Nigeria Bar Association.
