Ethel Achoh Tebid

Ethel Achoh Tebid

Ethel Tebid is a human security and community activist from Cameroon. She has over nine years’ professional experience in civil society organizations, and has written extensively on human security and good governance. As the executive director of Home of Pearls Foundation, Ethel Achoh Tebid focuses on interfaith and ethnic dialogue projects. Through this, she seeks to bridge divisions in local communities by bringing together African Traditional Religion, Christians, and Muslims to play a pivotal role in ending ethnic and religious tensions, addressing competition over natural resources such as land and water, and creating opportunities for collaborative engagement. This also involves the use of economic assistance to build bridges across ethnic or religious divides and strengthening ties between citizens by engaging them in traditional mechanisms of conflict resolution. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Ethel plans to continue her work on equality in diversity via projects in the Central African sub region.
